Sades Headset

Recently I bought a headset for my computer. It cos £20, I bought this one instead of a cheaper one because it had 7.1 surround sound. The box that the Headset came in contained; the headset, an instruction manual and a driver disk. This confused me as I assumed you could install it off the internet.
This headset has a very nice design with a microphone, which can be lifted up and down as of when required. This means that you don’t have an annoying mic by the side of your face when you are using them as an everyday pair of headphones on your computer. The head phone has a memory foam styled padding that fit around the edge of your ear. These are very comfy when you have got use to how they feel. At first I found them rather uncomfortable, I believe this is where I am not use to wearing a headset and needed to get use to it.
When I first got the headset I plugged it into the USB port of my Laptop; it took about two minutes to configure on windows 8 I fiddled around with the settings to make it work best. On my desktop it wasn't as easy. When I used it on my desktop I actually required the disk. Once I installed this it worked and it can with an application which allowed you to fiddle with every setting. Once I had done this I couldn’t have been easier, obviously I had to change my default mic on Skype but after that it was setup.
The microphone on this was very clear and easy to understand when I listened to the playback. From what I can tell it is a great starting headset for gaming and recording videos. The only problem I found was the microphone picked up background sound but it was an easy fix of turning it down.

When going through this I have come to the conclusion it is a great headset for £20. If I was to rate it I would give it a 3out of 5, the reason for this is because it isn’t the comfiest and the speaker quality isn’t great for 7.1

Tesco Hudl review

The Hudl Tesco tablet which costs £119. It has the android 4.2 operating system. The good thing about the price of this tablet is that if you have club card points the vouchers are worth double when you buy this tablet.
There are several really attractive features of this. The processing unit is a quad core so when you use this tablet it runs really smoothly. This is improved by 1gb of ram that it contains so that the apps run well.
The battery life while being used constantly is 9 ½ hours. This means if you wanted it could last all-day so long as you are not using it constantly.
Where it is on the android 4.2 operating system you can download all the apps you can get on most phones.
The screen is 7” wide and it is supposed to be high definition. This screen isn’t great because it is washed out and it is slightly pixelated even if you use it with a strong internet.
This tablet start up isn’t the fastest but once it has loaded it is very efficient and reactive. The touch screen seems to be okay but I haven’t tested much for delay.

For the price of this tablet it is brilliant value and it is great for everyday use and surfing the internet. If I was to rate it I would give it a four out of five as it falls short when it comes to the screen.

my Computer Layout

This isn’t a review. Today what I am going to do is talk about my setup. The setup of my desktop isn’t great but it does adequate for streaming on Twitch TV and making videos. To start with I am going to talk about my desktop. The specification of this desktop are:
·         8gb of RAM
·         500gb Seagate hard drive
·         AMD quad core processor
·         ASUS Nvidia GT640 2gb
·         Optical drive
·         ATX micro imp case
·         Asrock motherboard
It isn’t the most powerful machine but it has a good graphics card, so it is an ideal machine for me to use a base unit. I wish to upgrade this when I have the money.
The things that I want to do to this is upgrade the case and the motherboard. I also need a new hard drive as mine keeps filling up.
The actual setup I have is dual screening. I have one 720p television screen on my main desk, which I use to play games. On the other desk I have a 460p screen that is used when I am streaming and to set up servers for me and my mate to play on.
On either side of my main screen I have two speakers. I also have a HD webcam that isn’t branded. This is for me to have a camera when streaming.

In front of my optical mouse and keyboard, I have a microphone for recording my content.

Packard bell EasyNote TE69KB

Packard bell EasyNote TE69KB

For Christmas this year what I got was a Packard bell EasyNote TE69KB laptop from PCWorld. The specifications that this laptop has are as followed:
·         AMD quad core A4 processor
·         6gb of RAM
·         750gb hard drive
·         DVD/DVD writer
·         HD webcam
·         64bit windows 8 operating system
To be honest I am not the biggest fan of the windows 8 operating system, I don’t like it that much as it is trying to turn it in to a phone. Saying this there was something that I am amazed by which is the power and the speed. The one thing which I do like about windows 8 is the start up speed and how it runs quickly by adding the 6gb of RAM this system has is even better because it means that it also runs smoothly.
The price that I paid for this was £350 which was good for what it has. The reason why I got this was because I set myself a budget of £360 and for this price they were mainly 4gb of RAM and 500gb hard drive. Most of them had better processors with Intel i3, but I got a lower end processor that still does what I need it for but with better RAM and hard drive. In terms of price this laptop is rather reasonable, I’m sure you can get a custom built laptop that will be better for the cost but this is good for a named brand.
The design of this laptop is very smart and tidy with a matt black finish around the screen.
In order for me to test the ability of the laptop I installed two games to find out how it copes under pressure and what its frame rate is like.
The first game which I tried to run was Minecraft. When playing it I was not getting any lag or delay but the frame rate would only stick around 40 FPS where on my desktop I would be getting over 100.
The other game which I tried was League of Legends which played really smooth and sat around the cap of 60FPS this is good because I managed to run it on the high graphic settings.

So based on this it is a really smooth machine which is perfect for every day work but isn’t designed for gaming. Although it has got the potential to play games such as League of Legends so long as you do not push it too far.

So for the cost of this laptop this is a great machine. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a high powered laptop for every day use.

I am new at this hardware reviewing so i would love advice from people on what to talk about on my reviews and also I don't have many things to review so I would love to have peoples idea to help.
Thankyou

Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 640

There are different types of graphics card they are usually split up in to three categories:  low quality, mid quality and high quality. Today I am going to talk about the mid quality graphics card that I use. The ASUS NVidia GeForce gt 640. This mid-range card cost around £75 and is well worth this. The video adaptor that this card contains it one HDMI, one VGA and two DVI-D adaptors. The graphics card has a memory and ram of 2gb which can handle fairly intense gaming but it can’t handle all of the games on high graphics.
There are many nice features about this particular graphics card; the main one is that it is very quiet. The reason why it is quiet is because it doesn’t have a fan on it that creates an annoying whirring sound in the background. This makes this product very attracting to people like me who make YouTube videos because it means if you record you won’t have the pain of editing it out of the background. Another good thing about this card is that it is 3D ready so if the rest of the equipment like you monitor is 3D it means that you are able to use the 3D features that this product has. This sort of thing should greatly improve the general experience while you are playing this game, I haven’t tried out this 3D feature myself because my set up is designed for it but I have heard that the 3D ability is quite high based on the price of this product.
There are also a few problems with this product one being the fact that it doesn’t have a fan. This can create problems because if you are doing long gaming session and do not have adequate cooling in your machine it can be quite easy to overheat. This shouldn’t be a problem though because you should be aware this is only a mid-range card so can’t handle as much as a high quality graphics card.
I am aware that I haven’t yet touched upon the actual quality of the graphics. They are very fine and detailed and well worth its price tag of £75. This graphics are even good when you are dual screening and have incredible quality with little to no lag on the screen. This is a must buy in my opinion for those gamers who want great quality viewing and game experience without the high price tag of a high quality graphics card.
the cheapest place i found selling this is: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nvidia-GeForce-DirectCU-Graphics-Express/dp/B009KZ4EO4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1387647252&sr=8-2&keywords=nvidia+gt640
